EMS to help Connect achieve LEED 'green' qualification
16 May 2008
The firm will work with Connection's Connection Towers by evaluating its indoor environmental qualities, water efficiency and energy and atmosphere.
Khaled Bushnaq, chief executive officer of EMS, said that green buildings offer a "win-win situation" for both the developer and the end user.
"Its long term savings will serve to prove that sustainability definitely makes good business sense. We will focus all our efforts to help Danet Abu Dhabi achieve the LEED Platinum certification," he stated.
The reduction in overheads for utilities and the amount of clean and renewable energy being used are among the aspects on which Connection will be marked by EMS.
The LEED green building rating system provides a list of standards that constructers and developments need to adhere to.
EMS was established in the region in 1991 as the first company to provide energy management solutions.
