Dubai university 'to launch real estate management course'
04 April 2008
According to AMEinfo.com, the course - which will be introduced for the academic year staring September 2008 - is a response to rising levels of real estate development in both the United Arab Emirates and the wider world.
Subjects to be covered by the master's degree include appraisal and valuation, asset management, real estate economics and planning and property law.
The university has been running a similar course at its campus in Edinburgh, Scotland, since 2002 that is now regarded as one of the best in the field, according to the site.
Heriot-Watt University is due to unveil full details of the Urban Real Estate Management course at the Getex 2008 education fair, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 2nd to 5th.
The university currently teaches approximately 17,000 students from 150 countries at its three campuses in Scotland and Dubai.
